ServicesThe Coalition to End Childhood Lead Poisoning works through a variety of avenues including family advocacy, legal services, outreach and education, policy and legislation, lead hazard reduction, and technical assistance, towards its goal of eliminating childhood lead poisoning. Our Property Owner services include the following: Legal Services Our legal team focuses on lead poisoning prevention as it relates to landlord-tenant housing issues in housing units built before 1950. The Coalition’s legal services include working to educate and assist property owners toward compliance with the Maryland lead laws and tenant's rights assistance for the repair of lead hazards. Email: intake@leadsafe.org Lead Hazard Reduction The Coalition has a trained and certified LeadCorps lead hazard reduction crew that performs lead hazard reduction services. LeadCorps services include activities required to meet risk reduction standards, window replacement, and emergency cleans. Services are provided free of charge to families who have children under age 6 and/or expectant mothers. Such families must meet income and other eligibility requirements. Starting this fall, the Coalition will launch a new branch of lead hazard services, where it will also operate as a market-rate, lead-certified contractor.
